Convenient Access from Anderson Mill
About 15 minutes north of Anderson Mill, Radix Dentistry offers restorative, preventive and cosmetic care from one locally owned office in east Leander. Homeowners who have lived in the neighborhood for decades often need more than a cleaning, and that is where our practice fits. For anyone weighing a dentist near Anderson Mill who can handle crowns, implants and checkups alike, the drive is short.
Begin at Purple Sage Elementary on Tanglebriar Trail and follow N Lake Creek Pkwy out to RM 620, then head north. Merge onto Research Blvd (US 183) northbound and continue onto the 183A Toll for about 4.8 miles. Leave the tollway for the frontage road and turn right onto E Crystal Falls Pkwy, where our office waits a short distance east. The 10-mile trip passes through Cedar Park on the way, and RM 620 and US 183 do slow down at rush hour.
Keep in mind that 183A is a toll road with electronic billing only, so drivers without a tag are billed by mail. If you prefer to skip the toll, staying on US 183 and Ronald Reagan Blvd works too, though it takes a bit longer. Our address is 10960 E Crystal Falls Pkwy Bldg 1, Suite 150, Leander, TX 78641, and our map listing loads directions instantly. For nearby communities, see our pages on Avery Ranch and Cedar Park.
Established Homes, Long-Term Smiles
Anderson Mill started as a planned subdivision. Its utility district formed in 1973, the first houses went up in 1975, and about 3,400 homes were finished by 1985. Austin brought the neighborhood into its city limits on December 31, 2008, and the area straddles the line between Travis and Williamson County.
The name traces back to Thomas Anderson, who came from Virginia in the 1850s and set up a mill on the site in the 1860s. It later ground grain and ran a cotton gin. Today Lake Creek and its tributaries wind through the neighborhood, and Anderson Mill Road marks one of its edges.
The neighborhood covers only about 1.4 square miles, roughly 13 miles north of downtown Austin. RM 620 runs along its northern and western side, and US 183 lies to the east. After annexation, the Anderson Mill Limited District kept its seven neighborhood parks, two junior olympic swimming pools and eight lighted tennis courts, which still anchor everyday life here.
Today the neighborhood mixes long-settled households with younger families drawn to its mature streets and Round Rock ISD schools. A dental office that understands both groups, the longtime owners and the newcomers, is what this community tends to need.
Working adults here often commute south into Austin or west along RM 620. Our longer days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday run until 6 PM, while Wednesday and Friday start at 8 AM for anyone who prefers an early visit. Heading north for care also means driving away from the heaviest downtown congestion.
Restorative Needs in a Neighborhood That Has Aged Well
Teeth age along with the people who own them. Adults who had fillings placed in the 1980s and 1990s may now see cracks, dark edges or decay creeping in under the old work. Large metal fillings can also leave the surrounding tooth weaker, and a cusp may eventually crack. A careful exam spots these changes before they turn into a broken cusp.
Missing teeth are another common topic for longtime residents. A gap left alone lets neighboring teeth drift and tilt, which affects the bite over time. Implants, bridges and dentures each solve that problem in a different way, and some patients combine them. Dr. Habeeb walks patients through the trade-offs, and the right choice depends on bone levels and overall health.
When a large old filling gives way, a crown or bridge often restores strength and appearance in one plan. Before implants or complex extractions, CBCT 3D imaging shows bone, nerves and sinus position so treatment can be planned precisely.
Families with students at Anderson Mill Elementary, Purple Sage Elementary, Noel Grisham Middle School or Westwood High School have different priorities. Westwood opened in 1981 and hosts the district's IB magnet program, so many teens carry heavy schedules. Short, predictable checkups matter for them, and so does quick help if a tooth starts to ache during exam season.
How We Help as Your Dentist Near Anderson Mill
Restorative Dentistry
Replacing worn fillings and rebuilding cracked teeth is everyday work for us. Homeowners who have lived in the neighborhood since the 1980s often benefit most from a full restorative check.
Dental Implants
An implant replaces a missing tooth root and supports a natural-looking crown. Dr. Habeeb is a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association, and new patients can book a free implant consultation.
Endodontics
A deep crack beneath an old filling can inflame the nerve. Root canal treatment removes the infection and saves the tooth, which is usually better than losing it.
Periodontics
Gum recession and bone loss become more common with age. Periodontal care keeps the foundation healthy so crowns and implants have something solid to rest on.
General Dentistry
Cleanings and exams remain the heart of good oral health. Westwood students and their parents can share an afternoon block, which saves a second drive up 183A.
Unsure about a treatment plan you received somewhere else? New patients can request a free second opinion. It is a no-cost way to compare options before committing to major restorative work.
Meet Your Leander Dentist
Dr. Ebad Habeeb earned his DMD through the advanced standing program at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. He first completed a bachelor's in dental surgery at the Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine. While practicing in Hartwell, Georgia, he added continuing education in oral surgery and endodontics, skills that serve patients with complex restorative needs.
Insurance & Financing
Most dental insurance plans are accepted here, Aetna and Humana among them. When treatment costs exceed what a plan covers, CareCredit can spread payments over time. Patients without coverage can join the In-Office Discount Plan, which has no yearly maximums and saves upwards of 30 to 50%.

What Our Patients Are Saying
Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Radix Dentistry from Anderson Mill, and how do I get there?
It is a 10-mile drive that takes about 15 minutes from Purple Sage Elementary. Head north on RM 620, continue on US 183 and the 183A Toll, then turn right onto E Crystal Falls Pkwy from the frontage road. Patients wanting a dentist near Anderson Mill can also take toll-free roads, which add a little time.
Is Anderson Mill in Austin, Williamson County or Travis County?
All three, in a sense. Austin annexed the former census-designated place on December 31, 2008, and the neighborhood spans both Travis and Williamson counties. The Anderson Mill Limited District kept its parks and recreation role after annexation. Patients from either county are welcome at our Leander office.
My fillings date from when our Anderson Mill house was new. Should they be replaced?
Not automatically, but they should be checked. Older fillings can leak, crack or hide decay at the edges even when they feel fine. We look at each one during your exam and X-rays, then explain which can stay and which need attention. Many patients only replace one or two at a time.
Can Westwood High students fit dental visits around a demanding IB schedule?
Yes, with a little planning. We stay open until 6 PM on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, so a late-afternoon slot after classes is usually possible. Booking cleanings around school breaks also helps, and urgent problems are seen whenever possible so a toothache does not derail a test week.
Will I pay a toll on the quickest route up from Anderson Mill?
Yes, for about 4.8 miles of it. The fastest path uses the 183A Toll, which is electronic-only, so drivers without a tag receive a bill by mail. Staying on US 183 and Ronald Reagan Blvd avoids the charge entirely, though that drive runs a bit longer. Either way, you end up on E Crystal Falls Pkwy just east of the tollway.
